New Cottage

When you combine a beautiful house with stunning grounds, then add the most delightful host and his lovely wife and daughter, the result is New Cottage! We enjoyed wonderful breakfasts with ingredients sourced locally and slept in the peace of a tranquil environment, the ideal walking distance from Honfleur town.

Returning to a “favorite place” is one of those pleasant reminders of why we occasionally travel to the same place again and again. Finding a new favorite place, however, reminds us of why we travel. We have been to Honfleur before, but only for the day. Honfleur is relatively small, but beautiful and friendly, and has more than enough to keep you interested for more than a day. We decided to spend more time in Honfleur and that is how we found New Cottage. The innkeepers at New Cottage are great. They are the type of innkeepers who know they may never see you again, but they treat you like you are returning next week. The accommodations were spacious, have great views towards the sea and gardens, and were perfect for several days. New Cottage is very close to the center of the village and is a brief drive, should you decide not to walk. Our hosts prepared and served a great breakfast, took a genuine interest in our day, and made sure our dinner plans were made early. They obtained a reservation for us at Auberge de la Source, which was a 15 minute drive from New Cottage. Go there. It is in the middle of nowhere. The food was excellent, the wine list was very nice, and we were served by a very professional staff. What else could you ask for in the middle of nowhere? We also went to L’Escale in Honfleur. The seafood was amazing, the wine list was very good, and the staff was very friendly. Go there as well. When we return to Honfleur, we will look no further for a place to stay than New Cottage, which is now a new “favorite place.”

An absolutely beautiful house in a great location 10 minutes from the centre of town and 10 minutes to the beach. Managed by a lovely couple who cannot do enough for you to make your stay very special. The breakfast is not to be missed and seems to go on forever. Cannot recommend this highly enough - you will not be disappointed

I am remiss in writing this since we stayed here a while back, but I keep thinking about how wonderful it was and wanted to share that! We. booked two rooms here in June. It turned out to be our favorite lodging of an 8 week trip in France. The rooms are comfortable and well appointed. The breakfasts were delicious - so many options, each better than the last. T1he grounds are well tended and relaxing. Ingrid was an amazing host. She was accomodating and helpful with wonderful suggestions about places to eat and see in town. The property is a short walk from town. Close enough to get to everything easily, far enough to avoid the busyness of Honfleur in summer. And we loved the chickens! Don't hesitate - stay here!

Tellement de choses à dire ce lieu est magnifique, magique, dépaysant Le propriétaire est une formidable personne, super accueillant très gentil,il met à l’aise dés notre arrivée on a l’impression de le connaître depuis toujours ☺️ Les chambres très grandes très propre tout est fait pour passer un agréable moment et que dire du petit déjeuner le top tout est fait maison pleins de bonnes choses un délice Et la piscine jaccuzzi et nage à contre courant merveilleux un moment de détente. Et vous n’avez pas besoin de prendre la voiture pour visiter les alentours tout est faisable à pied que demander de plus nous y retournerons c’est sur nous recommandons ce lieu à 200%

NewCottage est un ensemble de 2 bâtiments authentiques normands, dans un grand jardin et un style de luxe. Dans une ambiance amicale le service est impeccable et chaleureux. Le petit-déjeuner est personalisé et abondant. L’endroit est magnifique et bien placé pour aller à pied en ville (Honfleur) ou à la plage tandis que votre voiture est en sécurité derrière le portail électronique. Bref, une Luxrexpérience de qualité, reposante!

Accueil attentionné, manoir magnifiquement rénové, chambre chaleureuse et confortable avec une literie topissime et une belle douche à l'italienne, magnifique vue dégagée, petit-déjeuner copieux et très savoureux, massage duo parfait... quand on quitte cet écrin on ne souhaite qu'une chose, y revenir !
